Just in time for Veterans
Day weekend a new study shows a whopping 495,000 American veterans lived homeless on the street
for at least part of last year. Close to 200,000 vets are homeless on
any given night. The study, by the National Alliance to End
Homelessness, found at one in four homeless Americans are veterans. At least
1,500 homelesss vets served in Iraq
or Afghanistan.
What is the Bush Administration doing about this? Not much.
