Philippe Louis Jean is a non-citizen Marine who was among the first battalions to roll into Iraq when the war was declared. On his return, this young Haitian-American was arrested by immigration authorities and spent 10 months in prison as the government tried to deport him to Haiti, a country he left when he was 5.

Did You Know?

Supporting our troops does

Supporting our troops does not end with their tour of duty. We need to support them for as long as they need us. Anything less is the epitome of ingratitude. The manner the present administration treats our troops is scandalous.

I was deported and Im an ex navy sailor

I could not belive the night I had a nock on my door to find 9 ICE persons standing there. I remember telling one that I was more American then they were. I moved to the US when I was 10 years old. I served in the US navy for 8 years. Honorable discharge. The Imigration judge didnt even look at my navy papers. I do have to admit that I did break the law. I had a misdeminor that Imigration changed it to a felony. I am now deported and so wishing to come home. The US the country I protected agains Russa, Libia, Iraq and Iran. I left behind 3 kids and the rest of my family along with friends that all wrote the judge.

We Americans support our

We Americans support our troops. We want them home NOW!

Phillipe Louis Jean

This is as sad it gets!!! When the bush empire, earlier in the war, brought press in to watch many non permanent residents who were about to be shipped off to Iraq, be sworn in as citizens. And then this...what a pathetic mess. Listening to Phillipe's story is totally heartbreaking.
